Policies 

Design Request Policy

KO Designs creates original, one-of-a-kind garments. We welcome client inspiration, but we do not replicate existing designs. Every piece is interpreted through our signature couture aesthetic, ensuring your gown is exclusive, elegant, and entirely yours.

Consultation Policy

All services begin with a scheduled consultation appointment. Consultation fees cover the designer’s time, expertise, and design planning and are non-refundable. Consultations allow us to discuss your vision, timeline, fabric selections, and pricing before beginning the creation of your garment.   

Deposit & Payment Policy

A non-refundable deposit is required to begin all custom garments. This deposit secures your production slot and allows materials to be ordered. The remaining balance must be paid before or during the final fitting.

Fittings & Alterations Policy

Clients may require multiple fittings to ensure the perfect fit. Clients are responsible for attending scheduled fitting appointments. Additional design changes or major alterations requested after production has begun will result in additional fees.   

Rush Order Policy

Rush orders may be accepted depending on the designer’s availability. Rush projects require an additional rush service fee and full commitment to the accelerated timeline. 

Return Policy

Any orders that include measurements or custom names cannot be cancelled or returned, even if the order hasn't shipped yet. 99.99% of the time the item is already cut according to the measurements provided as well as names being made on clothing and jewelry. 

Bathing suits, lingerie, and undergarments are not eligible for return. They are final sale!

Garment Pick-up Policy

All garments must be picked up within 30 days of completion unless other arrangements have been made. KO Designs is not responsible for garments left beyond this timeframe.

Cancellations & Rescheduling Policy

Clients must provide at least a 24-38 hours notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Late cancellations or no-shows may result in forfeiture of the consultation fee. 

Photography & Portfolio Policy

KO Designs reserves the right to photograph finished garments for marketing and portfolio purposes. Clients who prefer privacy may opt out in advance of garment creation.

 

Materials & Sourcing Policy

Certain fabrics and embellishments may be limited in stock. KO Designs will source the highest quality materials, but substitutions may be made if original materials are unavailable.  All garments are custom made and final sale.

Fabric Availability & Back-up Fabric Policy

Due to supplier delays, discontinued materials, shipping interruptions, or fabric shortages that are outside of our control, KO Designs reserves the right to substitute fabrics with comparable fabrics of equal quality, stretch, texture, or appearance when necessary to ensure the completion of your garment by your deadline.

 

By placing a custom order, the client acknowledges and agrees to this possibility.

 

If original fabrics become unavailable and a replacement fabric must be used, clients will be notified and presented with the best available alternative options (“Plan B”) selected by KO Designs.

 

If the client chooses not to proceed with the approved replacement fabric option:

 

The client will receive a KO Designs store credit or gift certificate equal to the amount of their deposit.

No additional refunds will be issued beyond the deposit credit.

This policy is due to labor already performed, consultation time, sourcing efforts, pattern drafting, production preparation, and fabrics/materials being custom cut or ordered specifically for the client’s garment.

Shipping & Handling

Please allow 15+ business days to process an KO Designs Custom item. A lot of orders may be custom, and we can not rush perfection. If you require RUSH productions, please allow 3-4 business days to ship that item. There will be an additional production fee along with an additional shipping fee by the carrier of your choice, Please  keep in mind we cannot control rush delivery fees by the shipping carrier. All Rush orders should be called in first to confirm accuracy of inventory and/or availability. Please do not order rush items without consulting with one of our associates. We need to confirm it can be done before your purchase to avoid disappointment or your funds being held. Our regular standard shipping is Priority Mail by USPS, 2-3 business day delivery (including Saturdays), AFTER we ship your

package. The shipping fee added to your cart includes, the weight of the product, tracking number confirmation, shipping and handling. Please note that KO Designs is not responsible for any potential delay after items have been sent as it is provided by the carrier and may vary with package origin and destination. The selection of shipping options are available to you upon checkout.

Custom Orders & Consultations

All custom orders require a paid consultation fee before booking. Production on custom garments will not begin until all required deposits, measurements, and design approvals are received.

 

Custom orders typically require a minimum of 20+ business days for production, not including shipping time. Rush services may be available for an additional fee and must be approved prior to booking.

Pre-Orders

Pre-Order items generally can take an estimated time frame of 3-4+ weeks before it ships out(not including weekends or holidays). Please keep in mind this time frame is not guaranteed. You will be updated with a tracking number once your order is on its way.

Privacy Policy

The privacy policy is designed to provide you with an understanding of the type of information we collect, how it is done, and what we do with this information. KO Designs is the sole owner of this information and it is never shared, sold or rented to anyone not disclosed in this statement.

Information Collected

Information is collected from a number of places on the web site including customer order and account registration forms. The goal in collecting this information is to make ordering more efficient and your shopping experience more meaningful.

Registration and Ordering

During the order process we will ask you for information including, but not limited to your name, shipping and billing address, phone number, email address, and credit card number. These kinds of personal information are used for billing purposes, to fulfill your orders, to communicate with you about your order, for internal marketing purposes and our site. If we encounter a problem when processing your order, we use the personal information to contact you.

Client Agreement

By submitting payment and booking a custom order with KO Designs, the client confirms they have read, understood, and agreed to all policies listed above.
